This is our first cache hide. It's at the end of our long driveway, which looks like a driveway to nowhere.
We have been geocaching for about two and a half years, and seem to do it in spurts.
We had decided very early on that we would put a few caches out, but then life and work got in the way. We had purchased a bunch of ammo cans a couple of years back from a military surplus up in Oklahoma on US-75 (he has everything you can imagine). So we finally got up this morning, and built it up!
The cache is a double 5.56mm ammo can that is a total park and grab. We loaded it with five large items and still have a ton of room left. Due to it's size, it will be a great place to transfer travel bugs.
Here's the starting inventory, none of which are trackables, but we will regularly be adding trackables to this one in the future:
- Three stuffed animals
- Wooden puzzle
- A paperback book about happiness that is a good reminder of the little things in life, like all of the cool colors in a 64 count box of Crayons (like Macaroni and Cheese!)
Warning: The electric fence may or not be enabled, so keep the little ones from trying to climb it!
Congratulations to Burns3 for the FTF!
