Geocache Description:

At the end of a 2km hike along a maintained trail, deep in the heart of the cloud forest, this cache sits at the base of a beautiful waterfall.

The Savegre Valley is a beautiful place to birdwatch, camp, fish, or hike. There are numerous waterfall hikes in the area, and this is one of the smaller ones. The trailhead is marked (coordinates above), and there are actually several side trails along this path. One leads to a "mora" (blackberry) patch and another to a mirador. There is more than one way to arrive at the trailhead - el bosque de los sueños entrance is usually the most direct.

The hike is about 2km long and is relatively difficult terrain. It is sometimes muddy and slippery, so use caution. The trail is well maintained by MINAE, and some of the trees and plants are labeled as well. Keep an eye out for beautiful birds. Quetzals are often spotted along this trail.
