A screw top container, slightly larger than 35mm in size; located just off a well worn gravelly/rocky track through St Pierre Great Wood. This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission Wales.
A stroll along this back track through St Pierre Great Wood. This is often the quieter path through the wood; and is the less steep access up to the track that leads to ‘The Faraway Tree’ cache. Tree cover and the natural dip this path is in can cause issues with the GPS signal along here. This is true in winter as much as when the trees are in full leaf. Use the clue for added help in case of GPS problems.
Large clumps of wild primroses can be seen boarding this walk during the spring.
