Geocache Description:

The ‘S to S’ series is a circular route that will take you around the coastal villages of Abeporth, Tresaith and the surrounding areas.  It will cover coastal path, countryside, woodland, beaches and cliff-tops; providing wonderful views.  It has been constructed by Marmite Soldiers due to the lack of circular caches routes in the area.

It is possible with careful planning to complete the series in a day starting from either Aberporth or Tresaith (car park details below). Alternatively, it can be completed piece meal over several visits. Whichever way you decide to attempt it, we advise that your attempt is completed in a clockwise direction.  The route is approximately 6 miles (9.5 km) long.  There are 12 caches in the series with a further 2 available enroute.
Care has been taken to ensure a safe route however with the coast and farmland come many dangers; there is no need for the use of boats, climbing gear or any other specialist equipment to retrieve any cache but we do ask that you keep a close eye on youngsters and pets!
Why S to S? Suitable breaks should reveal the answer.

Tresaith CP (£2 honesty box) – 52 07.995 004 30.906

It is believed that Rhiw y Rofft has earned its nickname of Punishment Hill as it is the hill that servicemen had to run down and up as punishment in days gone by.  No matter which way you attempt this cache you will feel the effects of its steepness.  It is an unclassified road and vehicles do occasionally go up and down – lets just hope they have good brakes!
No pencil/Pen available at this cache.
