This cache is located along the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail about 0.49 miles north of the Scudders Falls parking in Ewing. The cache is near a major sluiceway on the canal. The outlets of the structure must make an impressive waterfall when they are open. At the first stage you will find the coordinates of the nearby final. The final cache is a small container with a logbook and some trade items.
NOTE: The cache was relocated slightly and restaged in March 2015, at the Park's request, to an address some issues raised during the permit process. NOTE: the cache is NOT in, on, or near the sluiceway structure. That is against Water Authority rules.
This is an extention of a group of caches I am placing on this lower part of the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail which follows the abandoned railroad tracks. Think of it as a mini power trail to make your walk along this part of the trail more interesting. I hope you enjoy your travels along the D & R Canal. Scenic views are available all along the way.
