Geocache Description:

There was another cache nearby before but no more so I placed a new one. This is a good place to stop and go for a walk and enjoy the garden when in season.

This is a first of a dozen or so caches that will be named after local birds -

Rufous Humming birds are the common humming bird of the West Coast. In early spring they  leave their wintering grounds in Mexico and  head north. From flower to flower they follow the early sea level bloom of red flowering  currants and salmonberry. The male will arrive in early March with the female coming a few weeks later.
The females are devoted single parents where they will build their nest on top of cedar boughs, weaving together lichens and down with spider webs.

In Haida legends hummingbirds brought joy and healing.  They still do today!
