As if you really need another reason to explore this interesting area of Central Oregon. The John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is divided into three different locations. The "Sheep Rock Unit" where this cache hidden is on Highway 19 between Highway 26 and Kimberley. There is much to see here, and a few miles west of Mitchell on Highway 26 is the fabulous "Painted Hills Unit". Bring your camera and GPS on this fun and interesting trip. Have fun and good luck finding the cache!
NOTE: Some areas in the John Day Fossil Beds require you to stay on the trails, however, it is OK to hike anywhere that has ground cover in the area where the cache is hidden, so don't worry.
