On the wreck of the dredger "CITY OF BRISTOL"
Le Hoveringham IV est un ancien bateau de dragage, construit en 1969 en Angleterre pour Hoveringham Group Ltd compagnie de dragage en eaux peu profondes, société rachetée par Tarmac Marine Dredging Ltd en 1982.
Hoveringham IV is a dredger built in 1969 in gb for Hoveringham Group Ltd, shallow waters dredging company. The company was bought in 1982 by Tarmac Marine Dredging Ltd.
Il fut rebaptisé CITY OF BRISTOL en 1989 lors de son rachat par United Marine Aggregates Ltd, filiale de Tarmac.
It was redesignated CITY OF BRISTOL in 1989 when it was acquired by United Marine Aggregates Ltd., a subsidiary of Tarmac.
Naufragé en 1998 pour des raisons inconnues (probablement suite à une mauvaise maintenance, comme en constate la dernière photo en date du navire, quelques mois avant son naufrage), il fut une dernière fois re-baptisé L.CAMPO suite à son rachat par le Belge Antonius Campo. On ignore si Antonius a connu le bateau en état de marche, nous attendons de ses informations (et peut etre de nouvelles photos et détails).
Shipwrecked in 1998 for some unknown reason (probably as a result of improper maintenance, as shown on the last picture of the boat, a few months before sinking), he was once more re-named L.CAMPO following its purchase by the Belgian Antonius Campo. we don't known whether Antonius saw the boat in working condition. We expect new information (and maybe more pictures and details).

Parkez votre voiture aux coordonnées N 33° 18.610 W 008° 21.010. Traversez les dunes en direction de l'océan, et suivez ce dernier pendant environs 800m vers le nord-est.
L'épave se trouve à l'embouchure du plus grand cours d'eau du Maroc: l'oued Om er Rbia.
La cache n'est accessible qu'à marée basse.
ATTENTION, NE VOUS FAITES PAS PIÉGÉS PAR LES EAUX!
ATTENTION, LES TOLES DU NAVIRES S'AFFAIBLISSENT DE JOURS EN JOURS (atmosphère très saline). PRENEZ GARDE LÀ OU VOUS METTEZ LES PIEDS!

Park your car at N 33 ° W 008 ° 18 610 21 010. Go across the dunes towards the ocean, and follow this one 800m to the north-east.
The wreck lies at the mouth of the largest river in Morocco: the oued Om er Rbia.
The cache is only accessible at low tide.
