Boyd Observatory
The Boyd Pond Park Observatory has programs twice per month which are geared toward exposing young attendees to science and astronomy.
The road leading directly to the observatory remains locked except during observatory events. Parking is available in the main parking area. (Parking coordinates provided below).
The cache is a regular sized container with room for trade items. The higher terrain rating is due to the main parking area. If you are able to park in the observatory area, the terrain is more of a 1.5
The coordinates have been averaged over several outings in the park. Even with that, the tree cover may still make the coordinates bounce.
Cache has been placed with permission from the park supervisor.
Please note that the park is open from dawn to dusk.
