This cache is located on beautiful Lake Whelchel, on part of the Over Mountain Victory Trail, off of I-85 near Gaffney, SC., exit 95.
You can enter the trail to the cache near the gate at the boat landing. The gate is open April - Sept. from 8 am to 8 pm and Oct. - March from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The trailhead is on the right before you enter the second gate.
The cache is located maybe 1/4 mile walk from the parking area. The trail is multi-use so you may encounter a mountain biker. The trail is well marked. The total length of the entire trail is 7.5 miles if you want to continue For all the caches on the trail.
The cache is in a blue plastic coffee can. Please cache in and trash out. Please make sure cache is well covered as you leave.
