Chadwick Canyon Traditional Cache
tabhiker: It has been "maintained" out of existence by the school. Too bad.

This seldom used Chadwick Canyon trail is near the Chadwick Academy. It is about a 30-minute hike to an easy cache, with 200 ft elevation gain.
Park either on Academy Drive, west of Palos Verdes Drive North, or across the street in the parking lot for RHE City Hall, at the intersection of Crenshaw and PV Drive N. The trailhead is off of PV Drive N, about 60 yards north of Academy, and is marked “Bridle Trail.”
You may see hawks and falcons, and also domestic livestock such as horses and goats. Wonderful spring wildflowers. Hungry? Try the wild blackberries (in season) growing along several sections of the trail.
I would not recommend this for night caching for two reasons. 1) The trail is very overgrown after the heavy rains, making it difficult to find the trail; and even worse 2) There are two “cliff hazards” along the trail in which the path is very close to a drop-off into the creek.
Cache is a camo'd plastic container. Original contents: fake money; lock & key; bike tool kit; batteries; car compass; whistle; wine glass markers. Bring your own pen for small log.
