Geocache Description:

This is the 6th cache in a series of caches dedicated to the novel series, Song of Ice and Fire written by George RR Martin, and made popular by The Game of Thrones as seen on HBO.

The crannogmen are the reclusive people, dwelling in the swamps of The Neck. The Crannogmen are so called for their habit of living in small villages formed of reeds and thatch that sit atop floating islands in the mire(crannogs). They are a poor people and seldom leave their lands subsisting on fishing and frogging. They are talented hunters and warriors and despite their short stature and somewhat primitive lifestyle, the crannogmen have proven a notoriously difficult people to conquer.

This cache is located in the Oxbow Eco-Center of St Lucie County. The Oxbows mission is to foster an awareness and appreciation of the natural world. This is a 225 acre preserve on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River that offers multiple naturally scenic hiking trails, of varying degrees of difficulty. The cache you are looking for is an ammo box. Beware of the rainy season!
