This is a Welcome Summer Picnic. It is a chance for geocachers to meet and swap caching stories over a potluck picnic lunch as well as enjoy some summer fun.
The event is located at the shelter near our family's pond. There is swimming, fishing, boating / canoeing (there is 1 maybe 2 boats there) in the pond. Children must wear lifejacket when in the water. We will try to hide a few event caches as well as have a list of nearby caches available.
Here is the timetable for the event:
12:00pm - start of event
1:30pm - potluck lunch
2:30pm - group photo
3:00pm - raffle, door prize, 50/50 drawing (let us know if you would like to donate a raffle item)
Things you may want to bring:
potluck dish (put in your will attend what you are planning on bringing)
camp chair
swimwear
towel
lifejecket for children
fishing pole/bait
canoe/kayak
