Geocache Description:

H/B ICC -Angle of Incidence. This cache replaces Hiking/Biking ICC Trail Emory Extension J. Hiking/Biking ICC Trail Emory Extension J was muggled several times and I don't have any more of the container so I have created a different hide at this location. Since the container and the hide are different, and the location is slightly different I have archived Hiking/Biking ICC Trail Emory Extension J and created a new listing.

This is part of a series of caches placed along the ICC trails (Georgia Trail) and the connectors. (see also the caches placed on this route by mjb007). I have attempted to mix up the difficulty, hide types and containers along the trail to make it interesting. You will need to bring a pen, since some of the caches don’t have room for pens. For some caches an extractor tool will be helpful. Based on feedback I have shortened the name of the series and added a descriptor rather than just a number or letter designator. In many cases these hides could be made significantly harder if that was my goal. My goal is to hide these from muggles while allowing geocachers to make a fun find. Please send me any feedback on how this trail can be improved.

Maryland really failed in building a hiking/biking trail when they built the ICC. The trail does not connect directly to other parts of the trail and it really doesn't go anywhere interesting. Rather than carry the bike path directly alongside the ICC to get between these segments of the ICC trail you have to take Emory to Georgia and then you can get back on the trail alongside the ICC. This is a new trail and doesn't have a lot of cover. It can get busy with muggles. In many cases the trail is visible from the highway or nearby houses. Please minimize your impact on the new landscaping. Please be safe.

Note this cache is not accessible from the ICC. The nearest ICC exit to this trail is
Exit 8: MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) – Olney, Wheaton
Exit 10 MD 182 (Layhill Road) -- Glenmont, Norwood. (Interesting note: anyone ever heard of Norwood, MD?)

You are looking for a log to sign. Please bring your own pen. An extractor tool might be helpful. Please re-hide well so it does not get muggled. Please put it back together the same way.

Coordinates were taken by a Garmin Montana with an external antennae using long term averaging.
