Cache is located in Jenny Jump State Forest on the Jenny Jump Trail (Blue Blaze). ***Hunting is allowed, so plan accordingly*** The trail can be wet/muddy in spots. It's about 2.5 miles from the Farview Road parking lot to the pull off parking on 611 (northbound side). Follow the Blue Blazes. You will also see old White Blazes along the trail. The less strenuous route is from Farview Road to 611. SPRING AND FALL ARE THE BEST SEASONS TO HIKE THIS TRAIL!!
Jenny Jump State Forest is a favorite of mine. At one time glaciers covered Jenny Jump Mountain. The glacial ice advanced southward from Canada's arctic region due to global cooling. On its journey, the ice gouged out valleys, plucked rock from mountaintops, and incorporated sediment, boulders and debris into its mass.
Camping is available April 1 through October 31 in tent sites or shelters. (www.njparksandforests.org)
