Geocache Description:

nano

In The Fellowship of the Ring, when describing those attending Bilbo’s birthday party, J.R.R. Tolkien writes, “Many young hobbits were included, and present by parental permission; for hobbits were easy-going with their children in the matter of sitting up late, especially when there was a chance of getting them a free meal. Bringing up young hobbits took a lot of provender.”

I spend a great deal of my time each week pondering, planning, and procuring the provender for my own “young hobbits.” Publix is my favorite place to do this chore because the store is always clean, and the staff is courteous and helpful.

One final note: If you’ve never experienced the pleasure of reading The Lord of the Rings, I encourage you to do so. Beautifully composed, it is one of my most favorite tales. You won’t be disappointed.

Watch out for muggles during business hours!
