Geocache Description:

The Curragh was until recent decades a small hamlet at the opposite end of the beach from Ardmore village.

Now, most of the homes are holiday homes for the rich and famous, successful businessmen, various professionals, and entertainers. Most are household names.

A house built here in 1997 was sold in 2007 for over 4m. It went on the market in late 2012 with a pricetag of just over 1m.

The schooner 'Teaser' was shipwrecked here on 18 March, 1911. There were no survivors, despite the valiant efforts of local volunteers who risked their own lives in a desperate attempt to rescue the crew.

The finest golden beach on the south coast is nestled here, and it is by the beach entrance you will find the cache - a small tupperware box at base of fence and disguised by a few stones.
