Cowboy Cracker at gnarled tree on A.T. at Bly Gap.

On the north side of the Appalachian Trail at Bly Gap in NC, Forest Service Road 6230 and Trail #84, starting in Shooting Creek, NC, will take you three miles uphill to the gnarled tree in the middle of the A.T… This cache will help you find the trail while searching for the five stages of this multi… Be sure to take along a copy of the map below… The hardest part of your search will be the hike to each stage and if you decided you’ve had enough hiking for one day, feel free to claim a smiley for which ever stage you made it to…

The final is located 0.35 miles from the A.T. and we invite / challenge you to continue on up the trail and submit a picture of yourself in front of the tree while grabbing a bonus smiley for making it to the top!
