Geocache Description:

Everyone needs to experience the Costa Rican wilderness and beauty of the Osa Peninsula. This cache should take you to a small part of it.

I took my sons on vacation to Morgan's Guanabana Eco Jungle Lodge in March of 2013 and had an incredible week. Costa Rica is like living in a zoo with no cages. While here, we realized that the Osa Peninsula needed more geocache opportunities. Playa Colorado is a public beach near the Eco Lodge with a dirt road off the main dirt road. This cache is very easy to find and you can park right next to it. There is rarely anyone else in the area but if there is, be sure they don't see you get the cache. This cache is a few feet off the ground around the base of a tree. Please hide it back as you found it or even better if you can. Do not place the cache on the ground, for many reasons.

When looking for this cache, please be mindful of your surroundings. Snakes often like to hide around the root systems of these types of trees during the day. Make sure you take a stick and beat the ground before entering.

While here, please take the time to enjoy the view or even take swim in the ocean. This is an incredible area with many Scarlet McCaws and monkeys (Capuchin and Howler). Take walk to the right down the beach and say 'HI' to anyone at the Morgan's Eco Lodge. They are great people and put on an amazing learning/adventure week for groups. Report any issues with the cache to anyone with the last name of Morgan.
