This event lasts just 15 minutes so arrive early and try to look natural. Do not proceed directly to the posted coordinates, please just wander around. Try not to gather with other geocachers. In fact, ignore them. Check out the scenery, take some pictures, read a book, whatever you like.
At exactly 10:00 am an ammo can will be placed at the posted coordinates. Geocachers should proceed to the posted coordinates and "search" for the cache. Follow your GPS. Circle around. Look under things. Do whatever you would normally do when searching for an urban cache. With one exception, do not be stealthy. We want the muggles to wonder what's going on. If anyone asks, feel free to tell them about geocaching.
At 10:05 someone should find the cache. Preferably a young cacher will yell out "found it"! At that point all geocachers should converge on the cache and sign the logbook. To speed things up you may wish to bring a piece of paper with your cacher name on it to drop into the cache, or better yet, a signature item. This is also the time to trade swag or trackables.
Once everyone has signed the logbook a group picture will be taken with the cache.
At exactly 10:15 am the event is over.
All participants leave the area. Everybody! It is VERY IMPORTANT that we all leave the area at exactly 10:15 am after I say goodbye, to make it a true Flash Mob.
