Who are we? The Premier Geocachers of the Chester, Montgomery, Berks, Delaware counties; New Jersey & Delaware.
Signal looking for the direction and course to his next cache.
All are welcome – join the international hobby, sport, affectation and conversion to geocaching (it’s a family friendly activity). Attendance and membership is FREE. You need not be a registered to attend however we appreciate an RSVP. All attendees have a chance at winning free prizes! This is a FAMILY event all are welcome.

What is S.T.R.A.N.G.E.? S.T.R.A.N.G.E. is an informal gathering to talk about geocaching and just socialize. It's a great way to get hints about caches that stump you, meet the faces behind your favorite caches (or the diabolical ones) and pointers for hiding your own caches. At our second meeting of the former Second Thursday ChesMont Event Cache - we formally adopted the monicker S.T.R.A.N.G.E.
STRANGE is where you can share your exploits, collections of geocoins and swag, trade coins and other things, give away items - anything that you think are fun or interesting. A phenomenal menu is also designed by the management of the Café.
Where is S.T.R.A.N.G.E.? Our third gathering will be at a geocaching friendly local restaurant; The Main Street Café. They take cash and credit cards and offer individual checks. It is a BYOB and offer full free bottle service, so feel free to bring the poison of your choice!
Who comes to S.T.R.A.N.G.E.? Everyone does. If you're a veteran cacher or this is your first one, it doesn't matter. It is always friendly and laid back. The "crowd" tends to be more adult, but there are usually a few youngsters at each event and they are always welcome.
When is S.T.R.A.N.G.E.? It's the second Thursday of every other month. We start at 5:00 and usually carry on till 7:30 at the earliest (sometimes we stick around till 8:30). If you can't make it for exactly at 5:00, no problem. You're not considered late unless you arrive after everyone has left (by that time the lights are out and the Café will be closed!). It isn't uncommon for cachers to show up after 7:00 with the majority of cachers coming in around 5:30 to 6:00.
The formal business meeting objectives of this event cache are: Review of old business.
There was interest in review of the selection of "Neurotic" and its use with the "G" word.
Discussion of and adoption of charter.
Nomination / election of officers if provided for in the charter. Review of designs and hopefully select one for a STRANGE trackable.
Discussion of any new business. We have a surprise special guest. Informal socializing. Drive safe and hope to see you then and there.

Name: The name of this organization shall be the Second Thursday Royersford Area “Neurotic” Geocaching Event (S.T.R.A.N.G.E. a.k.a. STRANGE) organization initially located at Royersford, PA. (herein referred to as the STRANGE organization). Its current legal address is Paper Mill Mansion, 115 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475 (as amended from time to time in the by-laws and addendums). Statement of Purpose: The purpose of this organization shall be to:
• Promote, the healthy public, family and social activity shared world-wide in geocaching (further herein referred to as the “hobby”) as a safe and creative create, hide, document and maintain such hidden caches.
• Share with local, visiting and other interested individuals in our common experiences and interests in geocaching.
• Educate others about the fun, education, principals, social responsibilities and formalities of geocaching.
• The organization will not have any other prejudices against attendees or members other than their lack of interest in the “hobby”. Meetings:
• The organizer of the “Inaugural Meeting” held, November 8, 2012 at The Main Street Café, namely James Burns is considered the Cache Event Owner (“CEO”).
• To advance its purpose the CEO shall call a meeting every other month on the Second Thursday of the scheduled month.
• Meetings will be held at The Café on Main, 263 Main Street, Royersford, PA 19468; however, from time to time a meeting may wish by acclamation choose an alternate location for a meeting.
• There is no quorum of attendees (or “Charter” members) to conduct an event, business or vote on changes to the charter. Affiliation:
• The STRANGE organization is not affiliated with any other organization; however it will post its official meeting notices on the www.geocaching.com website and as such until the reviewer of that entity refuses publication is recognized as the official publication.
• The STRANGE organization will comply with all requirements of www.geocaching.com as they apply to publication of “events caches”.
• Legal rights to use the name "Second Thursday Royersford Area N Geocaching Event” the acronym "STRANGE" or “S.T.R.A.N.G.E.” are solely at the discretion of the organization; preempted by prior use by any other person or organization.
• Permission to use materials copyrighted by STRANGE and / or provided by STRANGE are given a forehand given that prominent recognition is made of STRANGE ownership or copyright. Membership:
• Any individual that attended the “Inaugural Meeting”; namely the first meeting held November 8, 2012 at the Main Street Café, at 263 Main Street, Royersford, PA is considered a “Charter Member”.
• Any individual may attend a STRANGE meeting at no charge and is considered a member-at-large.
• The organization may create a “Premium member” that either contributes dues or a meeting contribution to advance the objectives of the club. Officers: The organization shall have two officers: President:
• Shall be elected by a slate of nominees from the members in attendance when such election is called by the CEO (at the initial election) and subsequently by the President currently in office. A plurality by hand vote will elect the individual with the highest number of votes.
• There is no term of office; it shall be determined by the President
• Shall, if present, call to order and preside over the meetings.
• Shall maintain or have maintained the membership and meeting records of the organization.
• Shall be the official spokesperson for the organization.
• Shall create committees for specific purposes as s/he deems necessary.
• The CEO may serve as President but not as vice-President at the same time. Any other individual may serve both offices simultaneously. vice-President:
• Shall in the absence of the President, call to order and preside over the meeting.
• Shall, if the organization has income from membership fees or other income producing activities or items; maintain the financial records of the organization.
• The CEO may serve as vice-President but not as President at the same time. Any other individual may serve both offices simultaneously.
