Geocache Description:

This cache is in a new robust container designed to beat the elements, rodents and insects! It has plenty of room for swaps and travel bugs.

The cache is hidden along the Rex Range Road that connects the coastal areas of Port Douglas and Mossman to the tablelands of Julatten and Mareeba. The road was built to replace the previous route used by Cobb and Co coaches travelling to the gold fields of Palmer River. The previous route, now known as The Bump Track, is extremely steep and rough.

The cache is approached from a little known pull-off on the left side of the road when driving up.  The cache is best approached when driving up the range. The cache is on the downward slope of the road so there is no need to cross the road. There is also no need to climb down the steep embankment as the cache is located on level ground.
