Geocache Description:

The Gold Creek Flume is a popular walking trail. In order to find this cache, you need to access the Flume. The coordinates will put you close to the prize. There is a prize for FTF! Added a hint, 6/27/13

Chop Gully can be seen from the cache by looking toward Mt. Juneau. It is quite a rock face that meanders toward the upper reaches of the 3,500 foot mountain. During late winter and early spring, avalanches can come down this area, very rarely making it as far as the flume trail.

Cruise ship visitors -- move away from the tourists shops and come visit the natural wonders of Juneau - a friendly suggestion. You can access the Flume trail by walking up Gold Street and making your way to Basin Road. You can complete a circle trip to the docks by walking the flume to the west. When you reach Evergreen Avenue, point yourself ESE to return to the docks. Or simply point yourself toward the water and your ship will come into view, they are quite big!
