A black bison tube is hidden in a small white pine plantation on the Shaker Woods Reserve Trail off Stone Road in Alfred.
This is one of five caches hidden on the Shaker Woods Reserve Trail, a joint project of Three Rivers Land Trust and the Town of Alfred Chair, Fred Frodyma, who heartily welcome cachers to enjoy this unique property. If at any time, cachers find issues with this property, please contact Fred through the Three Rivers Land Trust website, www.3rlt.org. The trail is foot traffic only and please cache during daylight hours.
Since there are five caches in this series, I've included first through fifth finder, one per cache in random order. While there is no hunting in the Reserve, the property is very narrow until you get to the "loop" part of the trail, so blaze orange during hunting season is a necessity.
