Tradional cache with great views and a good workout!
Park along Paguna, a huge boulder means you are in the right spot. A steep but well defined track will take you up to Cardiac Castle - you will understand when you reach the GZ after about 15 minutes. Local legend has it that this project was abandoned when someone was killed when their vehicle left the track on the way up here. I always though this was a military placement as that is what it looks like from the highway but I could never find a way up here until recently.
A traditional cache with no puzzles to work out, all you need is a strong heart to find this one! The cache is a plastic barrel and should be obvious when you find it. The cache has some good quality swaps in it so please only swap if you have something decent to leave behind - its nice when there are decent treasures for geokiddies to find. You can continue
The site is quite level once you reach it but there are some precarious drops in the area so please take keep an eye on the geokiddies. Its a fun area to explore but there is some glass about so take care. The track up is a mountain bike track so beware of flying bikes! There is no need to go anywhere dangerous to find the cache, it is easily accessible. There is an easier descent than the route you took to get up here, but it involves trespassing (although you wont know that until you are almost down) May 2015 - I have increased the difficulty and terrain rating half a point each as some visitors felt it was too low and struggled to do the climb. It is a steep ascent so take your time, take a hat, take some water. I was able to do it in 15 minutes (I'm over 40) but you may need double that.
