How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

An initiative of the state and local governments in this region, the Backyards Trail takes you on a journey along the NSW side of the Murray River from Mathoura and Moama to Barham.

12 interpretive panels provide stories and background information about local history and events, farming practices, indigenous heritage, and local flora and fauna.

Farmgate sculpture stops highlight the creativity and sense of humour of residents who have developed unique works of art out of recycled materials.

Still further stops lead you to local attractions and bushland walks.

The series of caches has been placed at or near the points of interest.

This journey will take geocachers on sealed and unsealed roads that are suitable for a 2WD. Please observe local signage in relation to road conditions in wet weather, warnings on wildlife and stock crossings.

As expected in small rural communities, interest may be shown as to your presence or welfare if you are stopped roadside.

The cache: Could be high muggle zone. Micro - BYO pen.
