Little New Tree Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

sunnyside7: Mayday, Mayday!
I rode my bike to the Oak Savanna after all the rain we had the past few days. I continued south around the ball field to check on the LNT final cache. GZ was just an inch or two above the flood level. I can't believe I had put a travel bug here, four whole months ago! When I opened the container I found the TB in fine shape, so I took it home and will drop it somewhere else.
As for the cache, it's been here almost six years. It hasn't gotten much traffic lately, so I am archiving it. Thanks to all who have visited.

Geocache Description:

There is now a Little New Tree to replace the BIG OLD TREE

The cache is not at the listed coordinates

Welcome to Kiwanis Park in Brookfield.

Thanks to the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the 300+ year old "Constitution" oak tree that fell in 2011 during a violent storm has been replaced with a new white oak tree. It was planted last fall and a plaque has been placed in front of it. (visit link) or copy and paste the following into the URL box.

Today, on May 6, 2013 it was formally dedicated with a short ceremony in which the SAR also took part in.

Just before the event began a new cache was hidden to replace the BIG OLD TREE cache that was here only a year before it was muggled and archived. I then hid another cache that was archived when the cache host was surprisingly removed from the park along with the cache. So I had to hide yet a third cache to highlight the great tree. It never entered my mind that the tiny little cache would outlive the BIG OLD TREE, but it did. Of course I archived it, with no more tree to come and see.

I'm sure this cache won't last as long as the new tree, but let's see how long it survives. Being discreet at the final stage will help its chanches.

At the listed coordinates you will find a small marker set in the ground. Take note of what is written on it. A Line is a line of print, a Word is a word, and a Character is a letter of the alphabet or a numerical digit.

The cache is at:

N41 49. L1C11 - L2W1C5 - L2W2C3 - L3W2C6 - L5C2 - L1W2C2 - L2W1C5 - L2C11 - L4C6

Note: The cache location has changed multiple times. If you come here with a printout of the puzzle, make sure that it matches the one on the current cache page.
