Our first Multi Cache!
This cache is based on "A Walking Tour of the Union Green Historic District". A small book was published in 2009 that highlighted different historical locations in Connecticut's smallest town. A post was put up with a number on it corresponding to the numbers in the book. It is these posts which you are searching for. You do not need to get out of your car to search for these posts. They are all visible from the road. You can use your car to find this information, but after all, it is a walking tour!

On each post is a number. In the waypoints there are instructions as to what to do with each number you find. Happy caching!
A=The Parsonage-built in 1854
B=The Town Pound-Animal control. Was originally 30ft square by 4ft thick by 6ft high.
C=The Center School/Schools-5 different schools in the area with the newest built in 2009
D=The Methodist Church-New church location @F
E=The 1st Meeting House-First area in town to gather. Served as a church, a town hall, etc.
F=The Congregational Church of Union-275 years old in 2013
G=The Old Burying Ground-5 cemeteries in Union. First person buried in 1731
H=Union Free Public Library-built in 1910
I=Union's Town Green-Includes the town house or the Historical Society, The Mother Soldiers Monument or the Cannon, the charter oak trees, Union's time capsule and the new WWII monument.
J=Newell Tavern-sight of the Newell Tavern in the 17 and 1800's. Location known as Newell's corner
K=The Horton Residence-Built in 1815, Horton descendents still live here
