Geocache Description:

A short series of caches in Low Park Wood and along the Sizergh Barn Farm Trail. A couple of miles of varied terrain, industrial heritage, woods, farmland, river and the opportunity for a brew.

From the Fairies follow the Farm Trail on the obvious track past the chicken houses and down to the new pond created on the small stream which drains the ornamental ponds at the Castle. The track is comparatively smooth and the pond has an accessible platform.

You won't need a boat, or to go swimming to find the cache!  Once found, you do need to reset the cache properly for the next seekers. It's not in the pond now as in early days!!

Onward! Continue along the Trail across the next field and around the edge of the second to a k-gate into the wood again. If you're heading to LPW 1, turn right and a small pathlet to a track, right again then around and between the first building to rejoin the caravan site road. The building is the old cooperage and saw mill of the gunpowder works.

If you've done the series as described then that's all folks! Hope you enjoyed exploring the woods and Trail.
