Geocache Description:

This is the third one published of a series of 8 "Off Course" caches plus 2 bonus caches, published one at a time during April/May 2013. Each cache is placed next to and/or in sight of 10 different golf courses, most of which we have played (or hacked round!) in the past. Many of the cache locations reflect where our balls have landed out of bounds!

The other 9 caches in the series are:

GC4C6KV Bonus Drive
GC49VYT Bonus Fair way
GC49VMQ Oulton Hall
GC4A6A9 Temple Newsam
GC4AW9P Whitwood
GC4AKWY Normanton
GC4BAER City of Wakefield (Lupset)
GC4BWX3 Garforth
GC4BTB1 Spring Mill Ossett

Each cache container in the series has a connection to this noble game and, where the cache size allows it, initial swappable items similarly have a golf connection. Most caches will provide you with a pleasant walk, but watch out for flying golf balls! Some caches will be near tees/greens or where golfers may be playing shots. It is good etiquette to wait quietly whilst they play and of course you may need to wait for them to move on so they don't see you getting the cache!

On or in each of the 8 feeder caches there is a 4 digit number which you will need to keep a note of, as you will have to make sense of these to work out the location of the bonus caches. As some of you like to try to work out bonus locations from minimal information, I have attempted to make the working out of the bonus co-ordinates  not really possible until you have all 8 numbers but I may be proved wrong!

This micro cache  is sized large (you'll see what we mean!) should be easy enough to find, located on a public footpath in the middle of Lofthouse Hill golf club.  The path is popular with doggles but, despite its location, it is totally out of sight of golfers .....(Just a thought....are golfing muggles "goggles"?!). It can be done as a quick diversion from the highly recommended HF Old Sweeties series or you should find somewhere to park at the other end of the path on Westgate Lane.

*** Well done to Desert Fox for another FTF ***
