A poi pounder cache hiding out at Las Virgenes Highlands Park. If you don't know what a poi pounder is, just think Genie bottle.
This is my first time on this moderately steep trail/rd. You'll get good gluteal & abdominal work if you made it this far. Keep the bun muscles contracted with each step and suck your tummy in. Not enough? There's a couple more caches in the other direction. This place is literally jumping with wildlife: gophers, bunnies, hawks, ravens, and vipers. Keep your eyes on the ground and look before you step. Nothing you didn't already know, just a reminder.
Bring an adequate supply of fluids and be prepared to spend some time picking out stuff that get stuck to your shoes and clothing.
When you have time to grab a breather, look down at the 101 Fwy. That's how this cache got it's name.
