"Steine erzählen"
Wer mit offenen Augen durch das Gebiet von Pfalzen wandert, wird immer wieder mit der Materie „ Stein “ konfrontiert und zwar in ihren verschiedensten Formen: Berge mit Zinnen und Zacken und steilen Felswänden ragen in der Ferne auf, abgerundete Bergrücken und Felskuppen begrenzen unser Tal, Felsblöcke liegen lose in der Landschaft, so als wären sie vergessen worden. Letztere unterscheiden sich in Größe, Form und Zusammensetzung und bei genauerem Hinsehen entdeckt man unterschiedliche Strukturen, Farben und Komponenten. Man begegnet bearbeiteten Steinen als mächtigen Quadern bei alten Gebäuden, als schöngeformten Toreinfassungen, Sitzbänken, Brunnentrögen, Gatter- und Zaunsäulen, als Marksteinen in Feld und Flur , als Mühlsteinen in den alten Getreidemühlen am Bach. Von den gerodeten Fluren wurden einst die Steine aufgelesen und am Rande der Felder zu schönen Trockenmauern geschichtet; in der Nähe der Häuser wurden damit mächtige Schutzmauern gegen gefährliches Hochwasser errichtet. Wir finden sie auch als Pflastersteine auf Straßen und Plätzen und alle haben ihre eigene Geschichte.
Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung ist das Schulhaus von Pfalzen. Wir folgen dem Hinweis „Panoramasteig“ und stehen nach etwa 100 m vor einem Steintor . Eine Anzahl senkrecht stehender Säulen aus Granit und Gneis unterstreichen das Wanderkonzept „Steine erzählen“. Die alten Steinsäulen, die hier Verwendung gefunden haben, dienten einst als Zaunsäulen oder Gattersäulen, wie die mit Blei eingegossenen Halterungen noch erkennen lassen.
Gesamtgehzeit ungefähr 5 bis 6 Stunden (350 m Höhenunterschied).
"Pietre raccontano"
Chi passeggia per la zona di Falzes tenendo gli occhi bene aperti si accorge ad ogni passo di essere confrontato con la tematica “pietra”, intesa cioè nelle sue manifestazioni più svariate. Infatti, in lontananza si innalzano monti, cime aguzze e guglie; alture ricurve e cappe rocciose delimitano la vallata, blocchi di pietra giacciono sparsi per il paesaggio come abbandonati alla dimenticanza. Questi si dif ferenziano per grandezza, forma e caratteristiche e guardandoli più da vicino rivelano una gran varietà di strutture, coloriti e composizioni. Si riscontrano inoltre pietre appositamente lavorate, le quali compaiono come imponenti cubi presso edifici antichi, cornici attorno a vecchi portali, scalinate, banconi, trogoli davanti alle fontane sparse nella zona, pilastri che sorreggono cancelli e steccati, pietre di demarcazione per campi e prati, macine nei vecchi mulini accanto al torrente. Le pietre raccolte per le campagne dissodate sono accuratamente accatastate sui muretti a secco e in prossimità delle abitazioni formano imponenti muri di protezione contro le acque pericolose dei torrenti in piena. Pietre costituiscono selciati di strade e piazze. Ognuna di esse ha la propria storia da raccontare.
Luogo di partenza del percorso è il piazzale dell'edificio scolastico di Falzes. Seguiamo l'indicazione “sentiero panoramico” e dopo 100 m circa ci troviamo davanti ad un portale di pietra . Una quantità di colonne verticali di granito e gneis conferiscono all'escursione “Pietre raccontano” una significativa impronta. Le antiche colonne qui adattate a nuovi impieghi fungevano una volta come colonnine di steccati o cancelli, come rivelano ancora oggi gli ancoraggi in getti di piombo.
La durata complessiva della passegiata é più o meno tra le 5 e le 6 ore (350 m di dislivello).
"Stones tell"
Those who walk with open eyes through the territory of Pfalzen, is always confronted with the matter "stone" and indeed in all its forms: mountains with pinnacles and crags and steep cliffs erupt in the distance, rounded ridges and rocky knolls limit our valley boulders are loose in the countryside, as if they had been forgotten. The latter differ in size, shape and composition, and on closer inspection reveals different structures, colors and components. One encounters carved stone blocks in old buildings as powerful as nicely shaped enclosure of the doors, benches, fountains troughs, gates and fence columns, as landmarks in fields and meadows, as millstones in the old grain mills on the creek. Of the cleared corridors once the stones of the fields were picked up and stacked on the edge of beautiful dry stone walls, near the houses were so powerful protection walls erected against dangerous floods. We find them as paving stones in the streets and squares and all have their own story.
The trailhead is the schoolhouse of Pfalzen. We follow "Panorama Trail" and are about 100 m in front of a stone gate. A number of vertically standing pillars of granite and gneiss underline the traveling concept "stones tell." The old stone pillars, which have been used here, once served as fence posts or gate pillars, as can still see the cast with lead holders.
