You will be lead to a large lake at the Hawker Street Reserve. This lake offers you the chance to take a walk, picnic, birdwatch, take in the sounds from the birds, crickets and frogs, sit, enjoy and photograph the reflections off the lake and even find a cache or two!
The cache you are looking for is made from a hydraulic end cap and plug...hence the name. It is hexagonal in shape and painted black. You will know you have found it as it is labled as an OFFICIAL GEOCACHE. It has a log only so do bring your own scribble stick. SERIOUS BIT...I am a huge nature fan, so being the reason I share this spot with you. PLEASE RESPECT the area. The cache IS retrievable from the path, so take care of the trees, reeds, grasses and anything else that stablizes the soil. The aim is to find a cache and not vandalize the area. This may sound a bit over the top, but I have found that some of my other hides in some nature areas have a tendency to get TRASHED due to some sloppy and disrespectful searching. Just please respect the area is all I ask. Okay, I will now step down from my soapbox and let you get on with the business of enjoying the area and finding that cache...Enjoy!
