There are different types of geocaches, represented by icons. See http://www.geocaching.com/about/cache_types.aspx for a description of different types. For this challenge, the types of caches that count are those listed on the statistics page:
- Traditional Cache

- Unknown Cache

- Virtual Cache

- Multi-cache

- Letterbox Hybrid

- Event Cache

- Earthcache

- Cache In Trash Out Event

- GPS Adventures Exhibit

- Groundspeak Block Party

- Groundspeak HQ

- Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration

- Locationless (Reverse) Cache

- Lost and Found Event Cache

- Mega-Event Cache

- Project APE Cache

- Webcam Cache

- Wherigo Cache

To meet this challenge, you need to find different types of geocaches owned by different Cache Owners (CO’s). This is similar to jcanyoneer’s MAT Challenges (for example, http://coord.info/GC38ZCR) but a bit different.
You will earn points for the number of different icons by one CO, once you find at least three (3) different types of caches owned by that CO. For example, if I find a multi and a traditional owned by CacherGuy, no points. Next I find a wherigo by the same CO, I have three points. If I also attend an event owned by CacherGuy, I have four points. And so on.
You can find the Owner by clicking on the link after “A cache by...” right below the name of the cache. This is sometimes different from the name listed on the cache page. If a cache has been adopted, you have a choice of which CO to claim.
Caches can be anywhere in the world and there are no timing requirements.
For this casual level of the challenge, you need fifty (50) points. You may provide a list of some kind, but thanks to Project-GC this is no longer required.
To get the true coordinates, subtract 50 from the last three digits of both the North and West coordinates. The cache is about 150 feet off the Deer Creek Trail. The cache is easy to find. The difficulty level is for meeting the challenge.
I have more than 60 points, as shown on my log for the Mat 20 Challenge.
