Geocache Description:

This cache is accessible from either parking off North Lonsdale Road or from the canal tow path. You might need to take some care to retrieve it, especially when the ground is wet.

The rare and usual rolling bridge, and the accumulator tower were built in 1883 and are grade II listed. They we're part of the Furness Railway Company's main line. It is a pleasant short cut, allowing you to cut out half of the canal, the only place to cross the canal. Original contents include log book and pen
