The Willow Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Stonagal: The building next to the willow tree has been demolished, and the bench that hosted the cache is gone. I checked the nearby benches and the surrounding grounds, but found no cache. Almost made it five years. Won’t be replaced by me, but hopefully someone puts a cache here sometime in the future. Thanks all!

Geocache Description:

The Willow Tree is one of many notable landmarks in Boissevain. It is located just off the town’s main commercial street. It is considered/designated a “heritage tree”. The tree is approximately 100 years old, and is said to have been planted by William Venables from cuttings taken near Cherry Creek, west of town. A plaque near the tree lists its measurements in 1986, including a height of 51 feet.
