When you visit Pella, make sure to stop at the Pella Historical Village. The village is made up of several buildings including a log cabin, church, pottery shop and mill. The Vermeer Mill is a working reproduction of a 1850 Dutch grain mill. You can see the history of Pella, Iowa at the Vermeer Mill. At the Vermeer Mill you can walk on pathways that connect the buildings. As you walk you can see the lovely gardens that are well cared for. Within the village is the boyhood home of Wyatt Earp. The home of Wyatt Earp is furnished with 1880's furnishings. It has been a long time since Wyatt Earp lived in the home but it is reconditioned to feel like he is still there.
