Geocache Description:

It occurred to me that my previous geocache hides have been along the river or at a viewpoint of the river of some kind. Having been born and raised by the oceanside I find it most relaxing to be near the water. So this geocache series is near the riverside - since I can't be near the ocean - and is an attempt to obtain some peace in the city.

An oasis is a place reserved from unpleasantness, and ataraxis means serenity, tranquility, or an absence of mental stress or anxiety. Most of us lead very busy lives, but we don't have to go very far to enjoy the beauty of creation all around us. We just need to slow down and take it all in.

This is a nice easy walk along a trail that overlooks the river. There's some nice sand and great view of the bridges down here. It's a great place to bring your dog for a good run, and I often see people quadding or dirt biking along this stretch. Just be careful near the river when the waters rise in the spring, and use caution not to get too close to the high waters.
