***Congrats to DrEvil for FTF!*** At Pafford Woods, part of the Avalonia Land Conservancy. Trailhead parking coordinates provided on North Main Street, Stonington. Open dawn to dusk; dogs allowed; trail may not be suitable for young children; less than a mile out and back.
While exploring this beautiful preserve recently, I happened upon this pretty area and thought it deserved a cache of its own. With a small brook and rocky ledge nearby, it's a corner worth visiting. You are looking for a medium lock and lock hidden so that you may have to search a bit. Please replace as found and enjoy.
