Welcome to the Love is at the Beach Cache!!

Years ago when Chris and I were much younger, before we started dating we would come to this beach in the summer to hang out. We would spend hours here, after packing more snacks than imaginable and peanut butter sandwiches; we’d leave early in the morning and spend the day at the beach. This was before teenagers spent 24/7 on their cell phones, and before people forgot really how to pay attention to each other while hanging out. This was yet another place in our home town of Sayville that made me realize how much I love him.

This was six years ago, the beach has since gotten more polluted and mucky since then. My friends and I used to spend hours at this beach in the morning, but it seems to have lessened in the number of visitors it has per year; although it is still a lovely beach!

Unfortunately hurricane sandy really took a toll on this area. This section of the beach is now closed and the parking lot has been filled with sand. I do hope that by the swimming season the beach is cleared and restored!

While you are here be sure to do some CITO! Do not cross the fenced off area towards the building as it has been roped off due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. Also be sure to visit Foster Ave Park and beach, which is a lovely area, with tennis courts, a trail, a playground, life guard and beach. It is located less than a half mile down this road to the West!!

Love
Sam & Chris!♥

Update:
The building that used to be standing on the property has since been torn down and the beach has been reopened! We were are very excited about!
