Geocache Description:

On your way here you’ll pass the Strong House on the corner of Palisado Ave. and North Meadow Rd., home of the Windsor Historical Society. Check out the brownstone fence posts in front of the house, originally located on farmland on the south bank of the Farmington River and date back to the 18th century. The cache will be on the dirt part of the road, not far from another. Have fun! BYOP and TWEEZERS!

I named this cache Sergei Rachmaninoff, who was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor (1873-1943).  He is widely considered one of the finest pianists of his day and, as a composer, one of the last great representatives of Romanticism in Russian classical music.  The piano is featured prominently in his compositional output.  Rachmaninoff is a favorite classical composer of mine and I’ve played his “Prelude in C Sharp Minor” at one of my piano recitals. It’s a beautiful piece and his most famous composition.  Check it out on YouTube.  You won’t be disappointed!
