There are literally hundreds of people using this trail every day. On the weekend, it will not be muggler free.
It used to be a train track called the NKLJ (Nordmark - Klarälvens Järnväg) which ran from Hammarö to Filipstad. The 90km Banan runs from Kroppkärrssjön in Karlstad to Hagfors and there is also a 10km section from Hammarö to Kroppkärrssjön. There is an excellent website which will explain in much better detail all there is to know about Klarälvsbanan but the Geocaching rules do not allow links to commercial websites so I can not provide a link here. It is a very interesting source of maps for the trail and lots of other useful information.
The best way to do this trail is by bicycle. You could walk but it will take a long time. I have placed the caches about 400-500 meters apart and have purposely made it hard for park and grabbers. If you use a car to do this series you will get frustrated. It is also silly and dangerous because of parking limitations.
There are generally 3 types of cache container used on this trail:
A micro container sized like a film canister but with twist top.
Two different size of Pet tubes.
450 ml snap lock containers.
There will also be a few other surprises and some nanos also.
The micros and pet tubes are water proof so please tighten the lids properly and do not log in the rain. I am placing these caches for your enjoyment so don't spoil it for others and myself who must do the maintenance.
Take care if you have kids because some of the cyclists and inliners are going very fast and serious injury could result.

To prevent damage to logs, I have not included any pens so TAKE YOUR OWN PEN.
