Highly recommend the wildcat trail surrounding the town of Newtonmore. Great views of Monadhliath Mountains, the Cairngorms and the Spey.
Good starting point is the bridge over the Calder just outside the town to the West. From here follow the wildcat upstream. This will take you fairly close to the cache site. There is a bridge you may be tempted to use, I can’t speak for its reliability so please go carefully. If you continue from the cache site on the wildcat trail a short distance there is a spectacular set of waterfalls well worth checking out. The loop trail will take you right around the town back to your start point with a great walk alongside the Spey, total distance around 6-7 miles.
Link to cache location using streetmap.co.uk. Shows general area but some of the pathways are not shown. Thanks Jane.
Hope you enjoy
