Geocache Description:

This cache was put out by Team Cache Divers in celebration of their Big 10 Anniversary. Even though the event was planned it had to be cancelled due to Geowoodstock being the next weekend. But we decided to put the caches out for our friends anyways.

This is on the “hiking only” trail in Myakka River State Park.

Please recover it so it doesn't get muggled.

10 Team Cache Divers Challenges

Listed below are some of the Geocaching Challenges out at this time.

We have completed a few and are working on the rest. While it seems to be a snails pace, we are able to complete them and have the fond memories to prove it!

  • # 10. Alpha Numeric Cacher Challenge -- We are still working on this one which consists of the first letter of Geocachers name, 0 - 9 and A to Z. We only have 9 more to go.
  • # 9. Finds by Placed Date Challenge -- We have found caches placed on 341 of 366 days of the year.
  • #8. Well Rounded Cacher Challenge -- We are missing 28 of these. They range from 1/1 to the 5/5 which we are still short on.
  • #7. Cache Across America -- Our next challenge is to get a cache in every State in the US of A including Hawaii and Alaska! We have 5 states out of 50 (10%) so far. Hopefully we will complete this one someday and have even more pictures and fond memories!
  • #6. Jasmer Challenge -- We have found caches in 135 of the 152 months since Geocaching began. We are still working on this one, but need to go after some months that will be hard to get back in 2000 and 2001.
  • #5. Alpha Numeric Cache Name Challenge -- We have completed this challenge which consists of finding at least one cache which name begins with 0 - 9 and A to Z.
  • #4. Taking Flight GeoTour -- The Taking Flight GeoTour launched August 20, 2012 and includes 15 caches within Manatee County. Our latest challenge completed is hosted by the Manatee County Natural Resources Department and was lots of fun as well. Please contact us if you want more information on this.
  • #3. South Florida Challenge Quest -- GCTVT8 -- This one was easier to do because we had been more active scuba diving at the time and had several trips to the keys under our belts too. The North has some counties with only a few caches in the whole county making it tougher. At the time we were geocaching under our own GC names DangerousDale & Weblizard, and we decided to merge and do one log, so we merged our finds, hides etc. and we were 6th and 7th to find for this challenge.
  • #2. North Florida Challenge Quest -- GCTVT3 -- Our next best favorite! As a bonus we also participated in the Hidden Treasures of North Florida which was hosted by North Florida Tourism board and seems be gone now, but we actually won one of the major prizes as well. BONUS!!!! Plus we got to see many places in Florida that we never would have had the chance to do otherwise. We placed 7th and 8th for this one
  • #1. Final Florida Challenge Quest - GCTVTE -- By far our BEST challenge so far. We had to do both North and South Florida Challenge to be able to go after this one. We had an extremely good time and have lots of great memories to this day. Luckily we did it before gas prices skyrocketed, so it wasn't as hard as it is today. We placed 3rd (Techinically 3rd since we are a team now) and 4th for this one, shortly after Team Snook (Number 2 geocachers in the country) were FTF and FSUDad was the second to find!

Please use bug spray with Deet out here on this trail, as the Horseflies Love To Bite You!
