Geocache Description:

It was necessary to regularly clean the fountains, task performed by women. Often, there were even women responsible for making such cleaning regularly. Along the fountains, there were Stone terraces where the pitchers hoped that the swabs were adjusted so that they could become the head. It was a task that required very feminine balance. The fountains exceeded sources, as regards the construction and cleaning, since consist of a spigot inserted in a wall imaged. In most fountains that served no one well to washing. Each parish contains or contained several fountains that served to meet the needs of the population. It was part of the daily tasks to fetch water fountain for mothers, when they reached the camp, they had water at home to make supper. Today, the fountains are no longer used as a source of water, are kept and maintained for its historical value. They were replaced by pipes that take water directly to homes
