Valles Mines is an unincorporated community in southern Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. It is located about seven miles south of De Soto and is less than a mile from U.S. Route 67. Valles Mines is named after François Vallé who established lead mines there in the 1700s.

Visit the historic log cabin, built in 1749, which now serves as the museum. This log cabin was build as a wedding present from the bride's father. There are many items and information inside about the site and location. Lots of cool stuff to see! Across the driveway you can visit the Old General store, which also has more information and a small shop to support the area and site.

There are miles of trails and some more old buildings to see. So come check this area out! Biking and Horseback riding welcome!

Please stick to day light hours for this cache and do not wonder in the woods during hunting season, the trails are shut down for that.
