Downwind Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Daymark: I think it's time to call this one a day. Unfortunately GZ has changed since the cache was first placed with it's original hiding place no longer there and the current one unsuitable due to nettles. Thanks to all who found it and I hope you enjoyed it before it got too unpleasant!

Geocache Description:

This cache lies underneath the downwind leg of the circuit pattern at RAF Benson.

This cache can be completed as a cache and dash. The cache itself lies underneath the downwind leg of the cicuit pattern at RAF Benson. When completing this cache you may very well see one of the many helicopters and other aircraft that are based here up close!  They include the EH101 Merlin Mk3 and Mk3A, Puma 2, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, the Chiltern Air Support Unit (Police Helicopter) and the Tutors. The cache lies very close to a road which is often used by fast travelling cars so please take care, especially when completing it with young children or dogs. Please remeber to also bring your own pen or pencil when attempting this one.
