A Challenge for BDS (But not a Challenge Cache!)

This cache is for our friend billdavidsaurus, AKA sore-ass, or BDS. What a joy it’s been to get to know Bill and Molly over the last year. Bill brings a rush of fresh enthusiasm to all our adventures. He is also very smart which comes in handy when there are difficult puzzles that need to be solved!
Over the past twelve months we have seen the evolution of BDS. On our first outing Bill’s total caching kit included a phone and a pair of worn out sneakers. What he lacked for in equipment however, he more than made up for with eagerness and fervor!
Anyone that knows us is aware that our excursions take us far and wide. We might also be on or under the water, in a cave, rappelling off a rock wall, climbing a tree, or slithering through a cave. Those sorts of activities require stuff-tools and gear.
Since last Christmas Bill has slowly, but surely, built up his inventory. It started with a nice pair of sturdy boots. Then he acquired a flashlight and a pokey stick. Earlier this summer he bought a climbing harness and shoes. And while we loved Bill’s BatMobile, which he took way more places than he should have, it’s now great to see BDS sitting behind the wheel of a Jeep. Why he even picked up a GPSr along the way!
Now it would seem Bill is good to go for most expeditions, except for one thing. Bill doesn’t have a boat. He definitely needs some sort of a water vessel like a kayak. So, in order to honor (and taunt) our buddy, we decided to place a cache for him. Where is it? Ha, it’s right in the middle of all his Challenge caches!
So, now the gauntlet is thrown! Will Mr. Challenge himself be able to grab this cache? Knowing Bill, that’s a no brainer. He’ll probably have it logged before it’s even published; heehee!
All kidding aside, Bill it has truly been a wonderful year. Chuck and I both consider it an honor to have you as our friend. Now stop $%#* around, and go get the cache!
This cache is located in D.O.D. Ponds Wildlife Management Area. It is a paddle-to cache. Be sure and follow all park and water regulations. As with any cache, please be aware of your own limitations and use caution. And of course, remember to have fun!
