This is a special series that is dedicated to the men and women who served our country during WW II. There are 7 containers hidden in the woods each containing a bit of information about a perticular battle in a country that these veterans fought and died in. Prepare for a bit of a hike but along groomed trails with only 20 - 75 feet of bushwacking at times near GZ.
I have worked with many senior citizens for over five years and have heard many of their stories about serving during WW II. It was truly a world at war. Below is a list of the seven caches that hold a portion of the final coordinates. I hope you enjoy the hunt and if you ever get a chance to talk to a WW II veteran, and get a first hand account of the war, I suggest you stop and take it all in. Soon their information will only be found in the history books.
Below are the seven caches that each hold two parts of the final.
7 numbers in the north... 1 2 3 4 . 567
7 numbers in the west.... 1 2 3 4 . 567
1) Flags of our Fathers - Philippines (GC4C0RD)
2) Flags of our Fathers - Japan (GC4C0T5)
3) Flags of our Fathers - France (GC4C0TH)
4) Flags of our Fathers - Belgium (GC4C14W)
5) Flags of our Fathers - Germany (GC4C15J)
6) Flags of our Fathers - North Africa (GC4C166)
7) Flags of our Fathers - United States (GC4C16R)
8) Flags of our Fathers - Final (GC46041)
If you do these in order...the final will be easier to reach... the park closes at sunset, so give your self around 1 1/2 hours to complete the entire series. I do have permission from park management to place these caches in the park.
