5 KNOP / 5 KNOT AREA
This geocache can be reached from land and also from the Umeå River, Umeälven.
Since this area is a speed limit area (restriction is 5 knot) it is perfekt for you who like to come here with your kayak.
The Umeå River, Umeälven, is some times low and some times high. Like rivers do, they depend on melting waters, rain and also what kind of season it is. Umeälven has power plants, that also add to the water restrictions. However, at times the Umeå River can be a bit faster when it has a lot of waters. Due to these changes in water speed, this boat club had to build this pier to make sure they can handle the water at all times.
MAKE SURE THE CACHE IS LEFT HIDDEN!
Where this geocache is located is also a good fishing point! Bring your fishing geer! It is ok to fish here.
It is also ok to bike or walk through this boat club. Since the bike trail is going right through it. Well worth a visit is to keep going this trail - especially if you like to explore more about Umeå's Nature.
